Special officers for ‘104’call centres


The Andhra Pradesh government on Sunday appointed probationary IAS officers and project officers of several ITDAs as special officers to monitor the functioning of district ‘104’ call centres. The Government has established a ‘104’ call centre for Covid management and more specifically to provide details of Covid hospitals, bed availability, testing centre, Covid vaccination centres details and other related queries.

Similar satellite’104′ call centres were established at the district level with 15 personnel in each shift to provide information on the various services for Covid patients and also ensuring services such as admissions to hospitals, Covid care centres, ambulance, testing, home isolation, home quarantine and vaccination centre details.

The special officers will closely monitor the activities and ensure service delivery by the district ‘104’ call centres and report to the Joint Collectors (Development). The existing orders issued on the district training programme issued to all the Assistant Collectors are kept on hold till further orders.
