Amidst the coronavirus lockdown the Ministry of Railways presumes passenger train services from Delhi connecting 15 major cities.
The complete timetable of 15 special interstate passenger trains has been released on Monday and will commence operation from today (May 12)
The process of ticket reservation for passengers via online booking service began on Monday evening via IRCTC website and App two hours late than the said time.
According to the guidelines released by the Ministry of Railway, passengers will be able to cancel their booked ticket online up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure of the train.
“No cancellation is permitted less than 24 hrs before departure of train. Cancellation charge shall be 50% of fare,” the ministry said.
However, the provision for pre-paid meal booking and e-catering shall be disabled for all the 15 trains. Yet, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) shall make provision for limited dry and ready to eat eatables and packaged drinking water on payment basis inside the train.
Nevertheless, Passengers are free to carry their own eatables inside the trains.
