The Union Ministry for Information and Broadcasting has released standard operating protocols for movie theatres, which are set to open from October 15. Multiplexes and also single screen theatres need to follow these protocols.
Occupancy is limited to 50% of the seats and the remaining vacant seats should be marked clearly.
At least 6 feet distance need to be followed as a part of social distancing guidelines at waiting halls, common areas etc.
Staggered show timings need to be followed in order to avoid overcrowding at multiple screens.
Mobile numbers need to be collected at the time of booking of tickets so that contact tracing will be easy.
More booking counters need to be set up, in order to avoid overcrowding during tickets booking and those counters need to be open throughout the day, and should also allow advance booking in order to eliminate overcrowding.
Proper ventilation need to be maintained and the temperature should range between 23 to 30 degree celsius.
Thermal screening and hands sanitisers should be placed at entry and exit points and also face masks are mandatory. Proper sanitisation needs to be done after every show. Staff members need to be provided with PPE kids and gloves.
Only packaged food and beverages should be sold. And also one minute short film needs to be shown before and after the movie in order to create awareness regarding the spread of virus.
