IT and industries minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy at the IT conclave said that to create the best working environment in a post-Covid-19 world, the government is proposing to establish an “Integrated Technology Park” consisting of a high-end IT skills university, incubation centres, Centres of Excellence (CoE), labs, co-working spaces, State Data Centre (SDC), and offices of the IT, E&C department in Vizag. All the facilities will be in a single integrated campus and will enable optimisation of the resources and help leverage synergies between industry, academia, and citizens, he said on Friday.
The Minister further said that within the IT Park, the government was also going to help set up incubation centres, tinkering labs, Centre of Excellence in collaboration with private sector partnerships. Co-working plug & play IT office space will be created with a built-up area of 25 lakh sq ft, suitable for at least 25,000 seats/ employees. “In a bid to bring investments, creating jobs, deploying technology to solve current issues and help drive the state towards a prosperous future, we want to have a partnership with the IT leaders present here, he added
