The Act of Keralites had restored the faith in Humanity

The Air India plane crash in Kozhikode had killed 19 persons and more than 120 passengers are being treated at the hospital. The people of Kerala had shown that the pandemic or the odd hours are not the barriers. The youth and volunteers came forward and queued up at midnight and during the early hours outside a blood bank to donate blood, which would be needed to treat the victims of the crash. During the first 2 hours of the crash, people came forward and were involved in the operations of rescuing the survivors. But that’s not the end.

All the flights that should land at Karipur airport were diverted to Kannur airport. Upon hearing the news many volunteers came forward and prepared food packets for the passengers whose flights were diverted to Kannur airport at odd hours. Photos of people of Mattannur in Kannur preparing and arranging the food packets for passengers have gone viral on social media.  There was even a landslide in the early hours of Friday in Kerala which caused some casualties. Even though Friday was described as black day but Keralites showed that their hearts are white.

People responding within minutes of the crash and actively involving in rescue operations, people lining up outside the blood banks wearing masks and gloves. Volunteers working during the odd hours of the night to provide food while taking necessary precautions are the examples that humanity does exist during the pandemic. Their act has clearly restored faith in humanity.
