Two more positive cases of COVID-19 in the state


On Wednesday the toll rose about 10 in Andhra Pradesh.
Two more confirmed cases of novel coronavirus were reported in the state. The patients are from Vijayawada and Guntur.
The person who is from Vijayawada is a 52 year old man who went to Delhi to attend a religious meeting which happened in a mosque at Nizamuddin. He spent two and a half days and later went to Vijayawada in Duronto express and from there went back to his hometown in Guntur on March 19 and later developed symptoms of COVID-19 and was admitted in hospital and was diagnosed with it on Wednesday. This is a first case of community transfer in the state.
The other person is a 22 year old youth who travelled back from Washington to New Delhi in Air india flight, then to his home in Vijayawada on March 20 and after screening at the airport he was admitted in hospital in New delhi for a day as per the protocol.
Then came back to his home and the symptoms showed up after three days and was admitted in the hospital and the samples after getting tested came out to be a positive result.
