Virology centre to come up in Vizag in the next 10 days


Coronavirus cases are increasing and everybody is doing their bit to prevent it. With further progression, it is confirmed that the city will be having its first Virology testing centre.
Numbers of Isolation wards have been kept clean and all ready to battle the virus but the test results of patients were taking time to come as they were sent to National Institute of Virology in Pune or SVIMS (Sri Venkateswara Institution of Medical Sciences) in Tirupati. The results were delayed here itself.
But now a solution has knocked on the door as now a Virology centre will be set up in the next 10 days at KGH (King George Hospital). The swab samples were sent to the far off places won’t result in wastage of time. With this centre, both COVID-19 and Swine Flu detection can be done in two days.
And with this now a total of four Virology centres the state will have one at Tirupati, Vijayawada, Kakinada and Vizag. The centre in Kakinada will be inaugurated in the next few days.
