Visakhapatnam ready with 12 quarantine centres

To combat the menace and treating the patients rightfully about 12 quarantine centres have been readied with 2,382 beds in Visakhapatnam.
V Vinay Chand, district collector said that about 2,382 beds are set up in the 12 quarantine centres to combat the threat of novel Coronavirus. The centres with number of beds are as follows – Visakha Institute of Medical Sciences (400 beds), Gitam Engineering College (748 beds), Andhra University Men’s Hostel (200beds), Government Hospital for mental care (90), Gayatri Vidya Parishad, Kommadi (90), Regional eye Hospital (50), Gitam Medical college (364), Gitam Hospital (200), NRI Hospital, Sangivalasa (100), Dr. L .V. Prasad Eye Hospital, (50), AP Tourism hotel, Rushikonda (50) and 50 at Apu ghar.
Already KGH and Government chest hospital were the initials units which had the isolation wards, now the number of quarantine centres have been increased as a precautionary measure by the Government to combat the menace. As of now the number of cases in the state are 7 that includes three from Vizag. The basic thing that the Government is urging is everyone to stay indoors to curtail down the further spread of virus as this stage is precarious.
