Vizag reports the highest spike in cases with 20 people tested positive, double digit figures for four days in a row


Visakhapatnam district has reported the highest recorded jump in the district with 20 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours making it a case count of double digits for the fourth day in a row. The district total stands at 199 cases.

Among the new report, 52 containment clusters have been identified in the district, with 26 of them marked as very active.

100 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the district, with 98 people recovered and discharged. Andhra Pradesh, on Sunday, reported 154 new COVID-19 cases as the overall state count increased to 4813. 2,720 individuals have been discharged while 2,,018 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the state.

The total number of foreign returnees who have tested positive for the virus and are currently marked active in Andhra Pradesh is 126 out of 132 cases reported. Additionally, 832 people from other states, have tested positive for COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh with 520 of them being marked active. 16 patients were discharged yesterday.
