The VCCI Youth Wing, functioning under the aegis of the Vizagapatam Chambers of Commerce & Industry, conducted its First Annual General Meeting. Keeping in mind the unprecedented times due to COVID-19, it was conducted virtually and saw the attendance of the office-bearers of VCCI, Ladies Wing and the members of the Youth Wing. The Office bearers welcomed the participants and showcased the events conducted during this year Youth wing had a Round Table Meet with US Consulate, Meet with Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, Minister for Tourism, Tie up with BIGShift as an ‘Ecosystem Partner’, Industrial Visit to Sarda Metals & Alloys Ltd and conducted a workshop on Angel Investing with special focus on investments in the Silicon Valley and discussed the plans for the year 20-21. It was also announced that 2000 masks would be distributed to the beneficiaries in the upcoming week.

The Guest of Honor was the Commissioner of GVMC, G Srijana, IAS who congratulated the team on the completion of one year. The Commissioner discussed the current pandemic and the Govt’s plans for the city, and also suggested VCCI to come up with ideas to improve the fiscal outlook at GVMC.

The VCCI Youth Wing is a 55-member strong body drawing its members across leading business houses, professionals, entrepreneurs etc from the city. It was launched in 2019 by the Chairman of GMR Group, Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao.
