Waltair Division of East Coast Railway has observed 9th and 10th day of Swachhta Pakhawada as “Swachh Ahaar” i.e. clean food. All major stations of the Division involved in activities relating to cleanliness of kitchen, pantry cars of trains, counseling catering staff on hygiene, etc.
Inspections were carried out by officers and Catering & health inspectors at major stations to ensure quality service in catering to its customers. The intensives drives were focused on Cleanliness and hygiene of Canteens/Base kitchens, Utensil cleaning and storage system for raw and cooked items, 24×7 CCTV Surveillance workings, monitoring of disposal of segregated garbage and ensuring Medical fitness of canteen/Base kitchen Pantry staff.
